FREE Led Zeppelin Font From One of the World’s Most Legendary Bands
Who’s not familiar with ‘Whole Lotta Love’, ‘The Lemon Song’, and of course, ‘Stairway to Heaven’? Since their debut in 1968, Led Zeppelin has been just as memorable as their songs. In fact, many people consider the band as forerunners to heavy metal.
The Rock and Roll Legend
Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham used to be called the New Yardbirds. They were formed in London in 1968, and would later change their name to sound like ‘lead balloon’, an idiom to mean disastrous results. They were signed under Atlantic Records in November 1968 for $143,000, which is worth more than $1 million today.
The group was active from 1968 to 1980. They disbanded in 1980, after the death of John Bonham. Led Zeppelin was inducted in 1995 into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The font used for the band’s logo and their 2012 live album Celebration Day looks just like Carouselambra by Typodermic.
