FREE Beatles Font From The World’s Best-Selling Band Of All Time
John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr forever changed the rock and roll scene. Who knew that a couple of music-loving teenagers would someday be the world’s all-time most favorite band?
Start of Beatlemania
It all began when Lennon met McCartney in 1957. Back then, they performed with the Quarrymen, a skiffle band that played in small events and parties. They were later joined by Harrison, whose guitar performances would help shape the unique sound of the Beatles music. But it was Lennon and McCartney that played together. Sometimes, they would even go away on trips.
The game-changer came when they were invited to play in Hamburg from 1960 through 1962. Afterwards, they were discovered by music entrepreneur Brian Epstein, who managed them until his death in 1967. Starr was brought in by Epstein and made his debut with the band’s first U.K. single, ‘Please Please Me’, which was released in 1963.
While their following had been steadily increasing thanks to their catchy songs and fun image, the height of Beatlemania truly began when they appeared on the U.S. variety show, The Ed Sullivan Show, watched by over 73 million people.
