Who would’ve thought that an ogre would have the princess? Shrek broke every rule in the fairy tale books when it premiered in 2001, with its adult-oriented humor and a star-studded cast. It features the voices of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, and John Lithgow.
The computer-animated comedy film is loosely based on the fairy tale picture book by William Steig, and was the first to win Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
The Ogre and his Swamp
The story centers on Shrek: a territorial ogre who is forced to make a deal with Lord Farquaad, after his beloved swamp is invaded by exiled forest creatures. He is tasked to save Princess Fiona from a tower guarded by a dragon. Together with his talkative sidekick, Donkey, they reluctantly go on their quest to save the princess. But little did they know of the adventure and surprises that await them.
Green Shrek Font
Shrek was so successful and well-received that DreamWorks decided to release three more films: Shrek 2 (2004), Shrek the Third (2007), and Shrek Forever After (2010). If you enjoyed the animated franchise and are looking to re-create the lovable ogre appeal, try the Shrek font created by Kevin Wilson.
