Free Netflix Fonts You’ve Been Curious To See
Netflix has begun from a DVD sales and rental business to become a worldwide streaming and media provider worth billions. Founded by Marc Randolph and Reed Hastings in 1997, they now have their own content in the form of ‘Netflix Originals’.
Media streaming began sometime in 2007, along with their DVD and Blu-ray rental services. But it wasn’t until 2013 when the company debuted their first original production entitled ‘House of Cards’. As of 2016, Netflix has subscriptions from over 190 countries and 126 original content.
Some of their main crowd pleasers include: The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Santa Clarita Diet, The Haunting of Hill House, Altered Carbon, The Umbrella Academy, Russian Doll, Orange Is the New Black, Stranger Things, and BoJack Horseman.
They say you’re not yet a big-shot tech company unless you have your own font. Previously, Netflix has used Gotham, and in 2014, Graphique, which was originally designed by Hermann Eidenbenz. If you want to grab a similar font for yourself, try Bebas Neue as it’s free.
But in 2018, they introduced their own font, Netflix Sans, created by their in-house design team with type foundry Dalton Maag. The company decided to go with this not only to save money, but also to give Netflix a unique identity in the market.
