FREE Mickey Mouse Font That Will Remind You Of Your Childhood
The image of The Walt Disney Company just wouldn’t be complete without Mickey Mouse. The world’s most beloved mouse is as iconic as Walt Disney himself, and as timeless as the tales of Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, and Snow White.
All About Mickey Mouse
Mickey was conceptualized when Walt Disney cut ties with Charles Mintz of Winkler Pictures. Together with fellow animator Ub Iwerks, they brainstormed ideas for Disney studio’s new cartoon character. The idea came to Walt thanks to a docile mouse at his desk while in Missouri. Believe it or not, Mickey’s original name was ‘Mortimer’. But it was later changed after Walt’s wife, Lillian, suggested Mickey instead.
Mickey was finally showed to the public in 1928 in the animated musical, Steamboat Willie. But his feature debut wouldn’t be until Fantasia in 1940. Aside from animated films, Mickey Mouse also appeared in a comic book series called, Mickey Mouse and Friends, which was first published in 1941. Here you’ll find the coveted cartoon lettering in solid letters with a white border.
