All There Is To Know About the Cubano Font Family

Cubano is an amazing family of highly-advanced sans-serif typefaces created by prominent font designer Chandler Van De Water. The typeface was initially released to the public font market in 2011 through Font Diner. It was later updated and modified by Enventis Font Foundry.

As with most typefaces, Cubano was originally available only in the regular or normal weight. However, the font has since expanded into a total of four different weights.

The four Cubano weights include;

• Cubano Regular
• Cubano Italic
• Cubano Sharp
• Cubano Sharp Italic

Note that all Cubano weights feature several quirky design elements. This font was created with advanced and extendable features, making it flexible enough to be used on various design projects.

Each weight offers 170 premium-quality glyphs. You also get up to 200 different characters, including lowercase, UPPERCASE, numerals, punctuation marks, icons, currency symbols, to mention but a few.

Other common features include rounded corners, condensed letterforms, and heavy strokes. Rounded corners and heavy strokes can infuse an extra layer of visual appeal into your design projects.

On the other hand, condensed letterforms are mostly a space-saving feature that makes small-print lettering look especially stunning.

The fact that Cubano comes in four different weights lets you choose a style that suits your design works the most. Besides, the font boasts extensive language support, ranging from English and Spanish to Italian, German, Latin, Cyrillic, and over 100 other international languages.

Cubano Usage

Cubano’s multiple features and different weights make fonts in this family ideal for use on just about any personal and commercial design project. You can apply Cubano fonts while designing advertisement posters, campaign flyers, book covers, and magazine covers.

The font would also look great on invitation cards, ranging from birthday cards to wedding cards, housewarming cards, etc. Vehicle wraps, apparel branding, road signage, and wall murals are other common design projects where Cubano would be perfect.

Besides its extensive use on print media, Cubano can also make an excellent digital media font. Whether you’re looking for the main typeface for your social media posts, blogs, e-commerce store, or even PowerPoint presentations, Cubano will come in quite handy.

As a digital typeface, you might want to prioritize Cubano for your titles and subtitles. That’s due to the font’s incredible bold look.

Another great thing to love about Cubano is its seamless pairability. The font goes well with several other typefaces, including Block Berthold, GT Pressura, GT Eesti, Proxima Nova, to mention but a few.
