For those who enjoyed watching television in the 60s and 70s, they will be familiar with Mike, Carol, Greg, and Marcia. They’re just a few of the beloved characters from the American sitcom, The Brady Bunch. Created and produced by Sherwood Schwartz, the show aired from 1969 to 1974. It wasn’t as popular during its original run. However, it gained quite a following when it was syndicated.
How The Brady’s Became a Family
The Brady Bunch was a story about a blended family. It stars Mike Brady, a widowed architect with three sons: Greg, Peter, Bobby. He married the character of Carol Martin, who had three daughters of her own: Marcia, Jan, and Cindy. The show also features the live-in housekeeper, Alice Nelson, and a dog named Tiger. The show is set on a two-storey house in the suburbs of Los Angeles.
The episodes vary in themes, ranging from teenage happenings, sibling rivalries, puppy love, domestic challenges, and so on. Thanks to broadcasting syndication, The Brady Bunch went on to have reunion films and even spin-offs. A few of their successes include: A Very Brady Christmas (1988), The Bradys (1990), The Brady Bunch Movie (1995), and The Brady Bunch in the White House (2002).
