Adorable Boss Baby Font: Features and Applications
The Boss Baby is a media franchise founded by DreamWorks Animation in 2017. The franchise is loosely based on Marla Frazee’s picture book of the same name released in 2010.
The Boss Baby franchise includes films, TV shows, animated series, and soundtracks. Most of these projects revolve around a titular Boss Baby later referred to as Ted, who’s seen donning a suit and carrying a briefcase.
Boss Baby Font
The Boss Baby logo features the words “BOSS” and “BABY” in solid black and rendered in two levels. The words are so executed that each letter in “BOSS” sits right above the corresponding letter in “BABY.” The bowl of letter “O” is modeled after a baby’s head while the bowl of letter “A” has what looks like a tie. This helps reinforce the ‘Boss Baby’ reference and popular appearance.
In most versions, the Boss Baby logo appears with the word “THE” right above the letter “B” in ‘BOSS.’ There’s also the word “DREAMWORKS” executed above the word “BOSS” and to its left is what looks like the figurine of a baby sitting on a boat and holding a fishing line.
In terms of font, the Boss Baby utilizes a self-titled typeface. Boss Baby is a bold, fancy font inspired by the Boss Baby media franchise. The typeface was designed by TFonts1 and initially released to the public font market in 2018.
Based on the year of its release, it’s evident that the Boss Baby typeface was designed long after its self-titled media franchise was conceptualized. Therefore, the font was modeled after the franchise and not the other way around.
Boss Baby shares certain fundamental design features with another fancy typeface known as Army. The font boasts 242 unique characters, including UPPERCASE and lowercase letters, integers, basic punctuations, mathematical operators, and currency symbols.
But that’s not all. Boss Baby undertakes regular updates that usually result in the addition of more icons to its character set.
With its diverse characters, Boss Baby would suit a wide variety of designs. You can use the font in designing company logos, book covers, magazine & newspaper covers, and invitation cards. The typeface would also suit posters & flyers, banners & brochures, labels & menus, game titling, and T-shirt printing.
Website templates, social media posts, and PowerPoint presentations are other notable areas where you could apply the Boss Baby font.
