Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland
Director Tim Burton’s movie adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic has drawn both positive and negative reviews. There are critics who said that his work deviates too far from the beloved children’s story. Meanwhile, fans love the dark, twisted theme that Burton as weaved onto the big screen.
The 2010 film follows 19-year-old Alice. She is plagued by dreams of Wonderland, and she’s unsure whether they’re simply dreams or maybe memories. At a garden party (which also happens to be her engagement party), she falls once again down the rabbit hole. Here she meets the charming yet dizzying characters that include the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, the Blue Caterpillar, and the dreaded Red Queen.
