FREE AC/DC Fonts To Give Your Works Classic Rock and Roll Vibes
Who wouldn’t be familiar with AC/DC’s legendary hits like Thunderstruck, Shot in the Dark, and Back in Black? The Australian rock band was formed in 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. While their music has been described as hard rock, blues rock, or heavy metal, the band simply described it as ‘rock and roll’.
AC/DC Brief History
They started out as a touring band, playing mainly in clubs and pubs, and also in a few events. AC/DC’s first album was released in 1975 (High Voltage), and their 1980 album Back in Black became one of the best-selling albums of all time, propelling the band to what we know today.
Music analysts and similar professionals had many interpretations about AC/DC’s brand of music, but what is most agreed on is the band being hard rock. Their song content has sparked debate and controversy, with listeners alluding them as either deliberate pranksters, or outright sexist. As with what they really are, the band is simply letting their listeners decide for themselves.
Electrifying AC/DC Font
Just like its members, the group changed its logo font several times. There’s the first logo with a geometric look, similar to Glaser Stencil™ by URW Type Foundry. Then there’s the pink logo from their 1976 album, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. You can imitate this using Freehand 575 by Bitstream. And of course, their most popular logo, which is FREE: Squealer by Typodermic Fonts. For more AC/DC fonts, check out Font Memes.
