Everyone is given 24 hours in a day. But how people view that time varies greatly. Some may see as not having enough; whereas others will respond that a lot can happen within the given period. But creatives everywhere will agree on the latter.
But is it really possible to create something beautiful in just 24 hours? Studio Elastik definitely stood up to the challenge when they made the Dayfly Free Font.
The typeface was born out of an OPEN OFFICE event at Vienna Design Week in 2016. It was an answer to the question: What can be achieved in a day?
The name Dayfly was derived from the word ‘mayfly’, an insect that only has a 24-hour lifespan. For a font that was created under limited constraints, it sure looks bold and imposing enough to be taken seriously.
If you think you’re willing to take the risk, download it for your personal projects to test it out.
